A Lone Boat is The World's Most Hardcore Singer-Songwriter Project.
It's an exploration of any kind of songwriting that Alex L. Bomba can get his grubby mits on.
So long as its loud and dramatic, Alex'll give it a go.
We're talking classic singer-songwriter music, folk, pop rock, rock, pop punk, punk.
The only thing you can expect from an A Lone Boat project is; that it's gonna go in a lot of different directions, there's gonna be a lot of yelling, and that it's gonna be extra as hell.
In 2017 Alex released his first A Lone Boat project, The Beautiful and the Unbeautiful: Though I Die at the Bottom, I Live in the Fall with help from Nicky Bendix, CombatPlayer and Writing 4 Attention.
As a first foray it was good but flawed, lacking a clear direction and vision from Alex himself, as he didn't quite know what kind of songwriter he was gonna be yet.
Then in 2019 the single Generation FB was released with help from Rick and Peter from Caper Clowns as well as Jonathan a personal friend, the single was quite the deviation from the first album, being more rock than folk, and would spell the direction that A Lone Boat would go from thereon out.
The next big project, Honestly I Just Wanna Be Held, was released on the 30th of July and featured 5 songs in widely varying styles and genres, cementing what A Lone Boat is and will be in future.
The EP is a taste of what is to come on A Lone Boat's next full album, Duality - Dichotomy, release date as of yet still unknown, but the double-sided single is slated to be released on the 31st of May.
